Cross country motorcycles have a laid back riding position with handlebars a comfortable distance from the seat, mid to forward controls, heavyweight (700 lbs and more), bodywork optional saddlebags, trunks, touring packs, street use only, 1000cc and up, and are foreign and domestic made. Cross country motorcycles are designed for long rides and usually are heavily accessorized with a fairing/windscreen, heated grips and seats, dynamically tuned air suspension, radios, GPS units, floorboards and other convenience accessories like a 12 volt outlet and intercom. There are a variety of these types of motorcycles by various manufacturers such as Harley-Davidson, Honda, Yamaha, BMW, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Moto Guzzi, Ducati, Can-Am, Triumph and Indian.
