Touring motorcycles have an upright to laid back riding position with handlebars at a comfortable distance from the seat, mid to forward controls, heavy weight (500 lbs or more), saddlebags or storage, for street use only, usually 500cc and up, and are foreign and domestic made. Touring motorcycles are designed for long rides and usually are heavily accessorized with a fairing/windscreen, heated grips and seats, dynamically tuned air suspension, radios, GPS units, floorboards and other convenience accessories like a 12 volt outlet and intercom. There are a variety of these types of motorcycles by various manufacturers such as Harley-Davidson, Honda, Yamaha, BMW, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Moto Guzzi, Ducati, Can-Am, Triumph and Indian.
